Boro Blogger Experience | BJ’s Restaurant and Brewhouse

From great drinks to flavorful food I recently enjoyed a dinner at BJ’s Restaurant and Brewhouse in The Avenue Murfreesboro.
Handcrafted cream soda, a rich and flavorful drink served at The Avenue’s new hot spot, BJ’s Restaurant and Brewhouse, almost overshadows the restaurant’s specialty brew. But then again, how many restaurants offer handcrafted soda? Exactly. This is just one of many outstanding items taken from my experience at BJ’s Restaurant and Brewhouse in The Avenue Murfreesboro.
The atmosphere is come as you are casual; making it the ideal spot to watch your fall favorites on the field while you indulge with friends and family. The spacious interior mimics a restored warehouse, whereas the oversized, yet perfectly lit bar is the focal point of the eatery. And the food? Well, if you’re craving it they’ve got it.
With a menu thicker than their deep dish pizzas, your mind will spin with options. Everything from garlic parmesan wings to avocado burgers filled guests’ tables as they raved about the hand crafted beer. Curious to try, I got to ordering. Starting off with the spinach artichoke dip, my pallet was in heighted with the creamy blend while lightly salted tortilla chips surrounded the appetizing dip. For the main course, I opted for several items, starting with the deep dish “meat lovers delight”. The Chicago style deep dish pizza comes with a crisp exterior crust that is crave worthy. The pizza itself is worth a try and locals noted that the pizza could rival the best the North has to offer.
Heading to entrée number two, the barbeque bison burger was a striking, sloppy mess. Listed under the lower calorie options, this 700 calorie flavorful burger was doused in barbeque sauce and cooked to perfection. The smooth texture of the meat paired perfectly with their in house Piranha Pale Ale brew and steak fries. Obviously, this is my personal favorite.
Oh, and there is more-THE BEER! The in-house brew offers multiple robust flavors. The brew sampler is the perfect way to knock down a list of your personal favorites. Giving you the option to pick four of the ten options, take the plunge and get to sipping.
Whether you are looking for a casual dining experience or an after hours cocktail, BJ’s Restaurant and Brewhouse in The Avenue is a must go.
