A Pumpkin Painting Party for Everyone

Posted by Emily

Fall has officially made it to Tennessee and I couldn’t be more excited! There’s something about this season that makes me want to have friends and family over every chance I get – I love being outside and savoring every minute of the crisp weather, creating special memories with them. When thinking of something we could do to celebrate my favorite season, I immediately thought about a Pumpkin Painting Party. It was pretty much a no brainer when I considered the easy clean up, that it would be fun for all ages and that getting everything together wouldn’t be too pricey. My family loves a good fall craft, but keeping things simple and fun is key. I ran over to The Avenue to see what all I could get for our afternoon and was very impressed with the selection they had for our party.

My first stop was World Market where I was inspired with all of their gorgeous fall decorations. It’s a must stop for any fall decorating needs you have for sure! I love to wander around and see what all they have because I am instantly inspired when I walk through the doors with their great use of patterns and colors. World Market always has pieces that you can use so many different ways throughout the year, which is great because it means you get more bang for your buck with these multifunctional pieces.

My next stop was Kirkland’s where I was blown away with all of the cute fall themed signs, pumpkin decorations, pictures and so much more.

One thing I appreciate about Kirkland’s is that their prices are always great! Looking around I thought of so many fun gift ideas for friends that I could grab for a sweet treat and of course, all of the ways I could decorate my home with their fun pieces. I am a sucker for polka dots so the polka dot pumpkins were one of my favorite finds.

I knew Michaels was a must for all of my crafting needs so I stopped there last. I grabbed some paints, the pumpkins and some other pieces for table decor (isn’t that plaid tablecloth great?!). I also grabbed a package of little pumpkin cut outs and some stickers for the kiddos who didn’t want to paint which was perfect for those sweet little hands because they still had something to do. You seriously can’t beat a one stop shop for all of these crafting and fall home decor items.

I hope this inspires you to grab some friends and create some fun together. The great thing about a party like this is that you can keep it simple with the food and décor or go all out! I think a pumpkin painting party would also make a really great ladies night with some drinks, yummy food and maybe even a prize for the most creative pumpkin – like a gift card from one of your favorite stores from The Avenue. I mean, who wouldn’t love that?! Now, go get your party on!
