Spring Trends—What’s in Style!

Posted by Amy

In typical Tennessee fashion, the weather has been crazy! One day it’s 30 degrees and I’m wearing my winter coat, and the next day it’s nearing 80 degrees and I’ve busted out my strappy sandals! I’m happy to say we are finally seeing more warm days coming our way! There’s nothing better than the sun shining on my face when I walk outside—it just puts me in a good mood! With the upcoming warm weather, what better way to celebrate than with a trip to The Avenue to update my wardrobe for those sunny days ahead? I decided to pick the brains of individuals at each store I visited to talk about what’s trending, and show me their favorite outfits in store for this spring!

My first stop was Gap where I talked to Dakota about what’s trends she is seeing in the store for spring. One trend is that we are seeing floral everywhere—they had some of the cutest floral dresses and blouses. Another big trend is jumpsuits which are ankle length. Additionally, another huge trend is linen—tops and pants! Dakota mentioned she loves the linen items in store, the material is cool and the fabric is great to wear when it’s hot outside.

One of Dakota’s favorite dresses in store right now is this adorable navy dress paired with an Aztec print bag!

My pick is this floral print dress, it’s so lightweight and perfect for any spring day. Additionally, I am wearing a floral print blouse from Gap’s spring line as well!

My next stop was fab’rik where Chrissy filled me in on all things spring! This includes lots of denim, both jackets and cropped, fringe jeans are all the rage! Additionally, front tie shirts are really popular, along with two piece sets and jumpsuits. Some prints that are throughout the store are stripes and bohemian prints.

Some of Chrissy’s favorite things to wear for spring are high waisted, cropped white jeans and large earrings—both tassel or feathers are some of her top picks! She is wearing an outfit that just arrived in store—fringed, cropped jeans, a fun bohemian print shirt, and large feather earrings to complete her spring look!

My pick was this amazing stripe jumpsuit paired with some strappy heels!

My final stop was at Loft, where I spoke with Cierra! The store was filled with fun floral and striped prints in peachy, pink, and baby blue colors. Additionally, there were so many options of chino and crop pants to choose from! Her favorite thing to wear for spring (and an outfit she had on hold to purchase later) were these blue shorts paired with a light gray shirt, which she plans to tuck in or wear out!

My pick was this off-shoulder, floral print blouse. You could dress it up with dress slacks for work, or you could pair with jeans or shorts for a more casual, weekend look!

No matter your style, after seeing all of this spring’s hottest items, you’ll have no problem filling your closet with some amazing looks!
